Sweet and Sour Chicken


500 gChicken
1 tbspKetjap Manis
1 pinchSalt
1 tbspSherry
60 gflour
1 dlvinegar
100 gsugar
1 tinChinese mixed pickles
bitCorn starch


Cut the chicken in small pieces and mix with the ketjap and sherry. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes. Make batter of the eggs and flour and cover the pieces of chicken wiht it. Fry the pieces in a wok with oil. In the meantime make sirup of the viegar and sugar and a little bit of water by gently boiling it. Thicken it by adding a bit of corn starch mixed with water and add the pickles.

Serve with rice.
